Ms. Delforge is a former art teacher in
Gloucester and Reading Public Schools were she taught in PreK- 8
settings. She was also the program leader for the arts programs at
Gloucester Public Schools. When in Gloucester, she had a special
interest in learning how the Coalition of Essential School philosophy
impacted her teaching. She has received the Massachusetts Middle School
Art Educator of the Year, 1999, from Massachusetts Arts Education
Association; Outstanding Arts Collaborative Award, 1998, from
Massachusetts Alliance for Arts Education; and Outstanding Art Educator
in Massachusetts, 1988, from Massachusetts Alliance for Arts Education.
Her interests include building partnerships with teachers, community,
and artists; arts integration; promoting student performances and
exhibitions; and teaching and learning that promotes reflective
practices and a collaborative culture. Ms. Delforge holds a Bachelor of
Arts in studio art with a concentration in fiber and ceramics, and a
Master of Arts in art education from Illinois State University. She continues to work in fiber and ceramics.
When not working, she enjoys creating in her garden.

Ms.
Thompson has been the go-to person in the fine arts department since
1986 and she is a wealth of information! Besides taking care of the
arts faculty, she is in charge of scheduling the use of the Performing
Arts Center (seating capacity 750) at Marblehead Veterans Middle School
and the Marblehead High School theatre (seating capacity 420). Ms.
Thompson is also the secretary for Arts Council and keeps track of
student user fees from students who are involved in the after-school
arts programs. We would be lost without Ms. Thompson!

Nicole ryan teaches studio art classes at MHS.

of Fine Arts from Ringling School of Art & Design with a
concentration in printmaking and bookart, and a Master of Fine Arts

Eileen D’Amour teaches music classes at Coffin and Gerry

D’Amour received her Bachelor of Music Education from the University of
New Hampshire and her Masters in Education at Lesley University with a concentration
in Integrated Teaching through the Arts. In addition, she has completed several
graduate-level music education courses through Boston University. She is working
to earn her Orff-Shulwerk certification to assist her teaching methods in muisc
education and attend Orff workshops in Lexington, MA once a month. Her major
instruments are flute and voice. She enjoys playing with her flute choir, Harbor
Flutes, which includes several other music teachers in the district. She also
loves to dance, read, make jewelry, play softball, and spend time with her family,

Holly Fraser teaches music at Glover School (781.639.3195) Mrs.
Fraser holds a Bachelor of Music in music education from
Gordon College and a Master of Education from Lesley University
with a concentration in teaching and learning through the
arts. During the school year, she also direct the Flute
Choir for the North Shore Youth Symphony Orchestra (NYSO)
program and the Children's Choir at First Baptist Church
in Hampton Falls, NH. Over the past summers Mrs. Fraser
has taught workshops in Folk Tales Theater, Carnival of
the Animals, and Harry Potter at the Glen Urquhart School
in Beverly Farms, MA.

Kate Ferris teaches Band at Village School.
(781.639.3159) She also teaches privately, specializing in flute, clarinet, alto
saxophone, trumpet, and conducting. Ms. Ferris holds a Bachelor
of Music with a concentration in Music Education from Berklee
College of Music, and a Masters of Music in Music Education
with concentrations in instrumental pedagogy and music cognition
from Northwestern University. Prvious teaching experineces
include teaching instrumetnal and voal music in Ipswich and
Salem, MA, Chicago, and Boston. Ms. Ferris is active with many
community music groups, and firmly believes in access of performing
opportunities for all. During summers, Ms. Ferris is busy being
a sailing instructor, assistant conductor for a community band,

Cathy Landergan teaches mechanical drawing classes at MHS.

After receiving
her B.A. from Clark University, Ms. Landergan enrolled at ITT Technical Institute
and received a Mechanical Drawing Certificate. For many years she was a traditional
draftsman, drawing everything from the casting drawings for the park benches
on Revere Beach, landscape drawings for Spectacle Island created from the dirt
from the Central Artery in Boston as well as mechanical, structural, piping
and illustration drawings. She was also the CADD and IT Manager
for Arrowstreet, a nationally recognized architectural firm
for many years and had her own CADD services company teaching
adults AutoCAD. Ms. Landergan is also an oil painter showing
her work in several galleries in New England. She also holds
a MAT/Visual Arts from Salem State College. She has been teaching

Gourley Lehman teaches

Ms. Lehman spent the previous five years at Salem High School as an art
teacher where she taught photography, digital imaging, graphic design,
portfolio class and fundamentals in art. In
addition, she sponsored the Salem High Chapter of the National Art
Honor Society which she founded in 2001. From
1986 to 2000 she was on the faculty at Montserrat College of Art in
Beverly as Assistant Professor of Graphic Design. Ms. Lehman is also on
the summer faculty of the Maine Photographic Workshops, a
world-renowned conservatory for photographers and filmmakers, as
Photography instructor in the Young Artists Program.
She has been included in “Who’s Who Among
America’s Teachers” for the past two years, and her students have
consistently won awards for their work over the past twenty years. Her undergraduate degree is in Graphic Design
and her Master of Fine Arts in is Photography. She
continues to produce and exhibit her won work which includes both
traditional darkroom and digital photography.

Cara Hanson teaches kindergarten music classes at Lower Bell (781.639.3171),
Gerry (781.639.3186), and Eveleth (781.639.3196),
and fourth grade at the Village School. Mrs. Hanson graduated
from Gordon College in 2007 with a degree in Music Education.
While there she performed on violin and viola, was a member
fo the college choir and was active throughout the music
department, serving on student councils and as an office
assistant. Mrs. Hanson performs regularly with the Cape
Ann Symphony Orchestra in Gloucester, MA and teaches privately
on the Northshore. She was employed as a music teacher

Pascale Queval Braganti teaches studio art and AP French classes at

Ms. Queval was
born in Paris, France. She has taught at Salem State College in the
Continuing Education department, at the former Marblehead Middle School
as well as at the Marblehead Charter Public School where she was part
of the founding team. She is a former employee of MHTV, the local cable
TV station, where she produced, shot and interviewed for the weekly
news and 30-minute specials. She is especially interested in getting
students aware of other cultures through understanding art and French,
in giving them an opportunity to experiment with 3-dimensional
projects, and in working on collaborative work that the community can
enjoy. She works with all kinds of materials on assemblages,
sculptures, and collages. When not in school she loves to travel to
exotic places.
Amanda Roeder teaches choral and general music classes at

She also
teaches privately, specializing in voice, flute, piano, guitar, and
trombone. She is active in the
Massachusetts Music Educators Association, and she has served on the
senior district festival committee since 2004. Ms. Roeder holds a
Bachelor of Music from the University of Massachusetts and a Master of
Music Education from Gordon College. In addition to music, she enjoys
cooking, yoga, and dogs.

Joe Stoddard teaches general music and choral classes at

Mr.
Stoddard earned a Bachelor of Music degree in music education from
Oberlin College in 1994 and a Master of Music degree in music education
from the University of Massachusetts in 2000. He earned his
certification as an Orff-Schulwerk specialist from the University of
Massachusetts and as a Kodaly specialist from the Hartt School of Music
at the University of Hartford. He has been
elected to Pi Kappa Lamda (the national music honor society) and
nominated for the state Excellence in Inclusive Education award. He has
been a choirmaster and organist at churches in Fall River,
Massachusetts and he taught music in Ashburnham, Massachusetts before
coming to Marblehead.
Becky Stout teaches general music and choral classes at
Village School. (781.639.3159) Ms. Strasser graduated from Baldwin-Wallace
College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Music degree. While attending
Baldwin-Wallace, she served on the executive board of several music
education organizations and was actively involved in chorus, dance, and
