Senior Internet Lesson Plan

These lesson plans are part of our developmental guidance model. They are used in freshman, sophomore, junior and senior guidance seminars and during individual meetings between students and counselors. Students are encouraged to see their counselors as often as needed during the college and career planning process. Every effort has been made to provide students and parents with a comprehensive post high school planning guide. It is our hope that you will find these lesson plans helpful during this process.

Plans for the years beyond high school vary with the individual. For some, these plans involve college; for still others, they involve vocational training, work or the Armed Services. The role of the Guidance Department is to organize the process by which a student plans for the appropriate steps beyond high school, to provide information and appropriate referrals, and to supply support for the student in making these plans for the future.

The responsibility of the student is to take the initiative, along with the family, to begin the process in a timely fashion. It is important for the student to observe all testing and application deadlines and to see that the many steps involved are carried out in such a way as to assure proper consideration of credentials.

Part of the mission & vision of Marblehead's Central Technology Task Force is to prepare Marblehead children to fully participate in an information-based, technological global society. The world is changing at an ever increasing pace. The economy in which we live is world-based and is no longer agricultural, nor industrial but information based. To be successful in the 21st century one will have to be able to use technology to its fullest. Technology is dramatically changing the way teachers teach and what students learn.
