Friends of the Marblehead Public Schools, Inc. was established in 1991 as a non-profit educational foundation to support academic enrichment in the public schools. Comprised of parents, alumni, townspeople, business people, teachers and school administrators, the Friends believe that by combining private money with public education, we can expand and enhance the academic programs in Marblehead.
 
Mission Statement
Friends of the Marblehead Public Schools, Inc., an educational foundation, will raise funds for the educational enrichment of the Marblehead Public Schools. Funds raised will be used for the enhancement of academics, athletics, arts, staff development, curriculum development, and student activities.
Such funds shall not be used for current operating costs, routine supplies and texts, utilities, existing building and equipment maintenance, staff salaries and wages, or to supplant current school costs.
