Give
students a chance to explore the various fields where technical drawing and
illustration is used

students enough experience with CADD (AutoCAD), that should they choose to go on to a
college where it is a requirement, such as architecture, engineering,
GIS,
they will be one step ahead and be able to concentrate on the academic
material instead of learning to draw with CADD.
Give
students an added competency in visual software packages.

students an exposure to design
