While meeting the needs of the middle school learner, students will, over a two year course, engage in piano and guitar lessons, performance and related techniques, interdisciplinary lessons, theoretical studies, composition, reading and writing assignments, music listening and analysis, music history, cultural perpectives and more.

All MVMS students are required to take music for 10 weeks during 7th and 8th grade.

Mr. Tirelli's music room is located on the first floor (Room 114) directly across from theFamily Center.

Each student is provided with a music syllabus that contains all of the necessary information and assignments required for class.

All students are required to bring a pencil and their assignment notebook to class everyday. I frequently use the assignment notebook as my main source of school-home communication.

Music is a moral law. It gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, a charm to sadness, gaiety and life to everything. It is the essence of order and lends itself to all that is good and just and beautiful.
